What we are up to

Introducing our interns. #1 Svea Carney.

Hello all!!

My name’s Svea (pronounce it like you would a sphere – and I challenge you to come up with one  I haven’t already heard!) I’m a graduate from LJMU’s Graphic Arts course, newly released into the big wide world. My specialism is Graphic Design but I do have a soft spot for film and the occasional dabble into illustration. My first love however is making things from scratch as you’ll see from my work.

I’ve been churning out graphics for three years so now I’m looking forward to getting stuck in to some awesome and diverse projects. Wait until you see our first zine! This project is an excuse to get down and dirty – quite literally – with some old school work.

I’m super excited to start working with this amazing group of people and I can’t wait to start learning from them, who knows what will come of it – but I can’t wait to find out.

Here are some cool photos of my work for you to mooch at. You’re looking at a project I did to coincide with the Liverpool Biennial. I made a cross-stitch poster to advertise Lee Mingwei’s ‘the Mending Project’, I also included a do it yourself invite cross-stitch kit...pretty cool right

I’ll be checking in along the way so stay tuned, I can’t wait to share this journey with you!

Svea xo
