INFO:

Overlap 2011 was a series showcasing the first phase of Mercy’s new live commissions - exploring shared territories across writing/music/performance.

The series was co-curated by Nathan Jones and Mark Greenwood, and presented in partnership with AND Festival, the Bluecoat, Glitch Karaoke and Liverpool Music Week. Contributors included Victoria Gray, Anat Ben David, Maria Minerva, Nick Garrard & Mark Greenwood, Forest Swords & Samizdat, Nathan Jones & Tom Smith, Mark Leahy, Emma Bennett, Holly Pester, Soriah, Ross Sutherland, Daniel Rourke, Young Kim, SJ Fowler & Ben Morris, and Jon Davies & Dustin Wong.

This strand will continue in 2012, with new works in on the theme of Electronic Voice Phenomena.

For the identity, we designed a logo and then built it from individual die-cut perspex sheets. This was then photographed from multiple angles under different lighting, and the photoshoot results were used across a digital campaign. We also commissioned Paul Neave to develop an interactive version of the logo.
