MERCY SAYS:

Musical visionaries, technical virtuosos, friends,co-curators, and the best band on the planet.

Their 2009 album was recorded, written and produced by the band themselves and is just awesome.

We full anticipate their new album to rewrite music history or something.

Wave Machines have been among the most important and influential people on the Mercy ascendancy over the years - co-curating our mind-blowing London and Liverpool WITRT series, and giving help and guidance on all manner of things sound and performance related.  They actually played their first gig at )Bracket This( too, so I guess the feeling is mutual!

All hail.

WAVE MACHINES SAYS:

Our very first gig took place at "Bracket This", a Mercy night at which bands, artists, poets and DJs gathered with the artwork in a gallery space to make noise and drink beer. Since then we have released a bunch of singles and an album and toured extensively throughout Europe and the US. The memories of that first gig still resonate and influence our approach to everything we do.

Mercy's early fanzines were our gateway drug and we soon suffered the symptoms of long-term addiction, hanging shiftily around poetry events, looking for change. We find it in each and every Mercy event we attend, whether as eager collaborators or drunken punters in search of an unusually good time.
