WHO WE DO IT WITH
MERCY SAYS:
“Deeply experimental pianist Sarah made a massive splash when she moved to Liverpool for a brief time in 2009-10. She worked with us on a series of collaborations featuring her new Inside-Out Piano, composing a new suite of music for collaboration with poetic performance and visuals from the Mercy team.
Sarah's professionalism, energy and enthusiasm made a massive impact on us, and she has pointed us towards several new outlets and inspirations for our work, as well as delivering some of the most unique performance moments of Mercy history. She is senior lecturer at Bruel University, and regularly performs at London's South Bank Centre, as well as jetting around the world for headline performances on the contemporary classical scene.
Time and geography have pulled us apart for now, but our paths will cross again!
SARAH NICOLLS SAYS:
“Mercy are a genuine grassroots organisation, making events that are like over-sized arty house parties. Their openness to collaborations means outsiders are made to feel totally welcome and I was enabled by and with them to do some of my most adventurous artistic explorations whilst living up in Liverpool
